Weighing Method

Weighing Method

  • Gather your empty candle vessel and a kitchen scale.
  • Weigh the empty vessel and note the weight in ounces.
  • Fill the vessel with water up to 1/4 inch from the top and weigh again.
  • Subtract the empty vessel weight from the full vessel weight for the wax amount needed.

  • Fill the vessel with water to the 1/4 inch mark.
  • Measure the water volume in a measuring cup.
  • Convert this water weight to wax weight by multiplying by 0.844.
